After trying out the Texas sized pizza at Big Lou’s pizza in San Antonio, we knew we needed to try out the 3-pound Texas sized cinnamon rolls at Lulu’s Bakery and Cafe in San Antonio. (If you want to read about the incredible pizza click here) I was initially thinking how is it possible for such a large cinnamon roll to still taste yummy? Keep reading to see if it lives up to my hopes for it to taste as good as it looks…

Lulu’s Bakery & Cafe started out trying to serve Texas sized portions at reasonable prices. They are known for their chicken fried steaks in addition to the cinnamon rolls. We will have to try them out the next visit to San Antonio for. We love some good chicken fried steak. The bakery is open 24 hours a day which is perfect for those traveling. They are located very near to the downtown riverwalk.

While I readied the 4 crazies for the day in San Antonio, our Daddy went to grab our cinnamon roll for us to eat in the hotel room. While I expected it to be large, I had no idea just how big it would be! My boys love cinnamon rolls, so I also wondered how much would be leftover! Once Daddy arrived back with the sweet cinnamon roll, everyone was ready to dig in! The bakery cut it in half for us. We had to microwave it for a bit to warm it up and allow the frosting to melt over the top. This cinnamon roll smelled AMAZING! I couldn’t wait to try it!

This HUGE cinnamon roll lived up to the hype! It tasted as good as it looked! Each boy kept asking for more and more cinnamon roll! We nearly finished just half of it, the thing was HUGE! So we even had breakfast for the next morning!

I would absolutely recommend everyone stop in a taste this over the top cinnamon roll, but be prepared to take some home! This might become our new tradition for breakfast during our San Antonio visits. Check out Lulu’s Bakery & Cafe here.
