Slime … what kid doesn’t like slime? This is going to be one of those things people list as an item of the 20teens. Slime, squishies, and Youtube Kids! We have tried a ton of different recipes out, yet still don’t have a perfect recipe. This recipe we found claims to be the perfect recipe, but is it???

This recipe ended up being just ok. It wasn’t too messy. But, it didn’t stretch nicely like slime should. Also, my kids didn’t enjoy the confetti in it. Aiden and Aaron recommended using glitter instead! So, we will continue our search for the perfect recipe. Have you heard of Elmer’s Magical Liquid? We just might have to give that a try, even though I was really hoping for a more homemade version!

Confetti Slime

Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon Borax
  • 1/2 cup Clear Glue
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 package Confetti

Instructions

  • 1: Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of borax powder into 1/2 cup of warm water in one of the three bowls. Mix this thoroughly.
2: In the second bowl measure out about 1/2 cup of clear glue and mix with 1/2 cup of water until well mixed
3: Pour borax/water mixture into glue/water mixture and stir it up!
4: You will see it come together right away. It will seem stringy and clumpy, but that’s ok! Remove from bowl.
5: Spend a few minutes kneading the mixture together. You may have left over borax solution.
6: Store in clean container with cover.
