Green Kid Crafts Box Opening and Review

When our Green Kid Crafts box arrived in the mail, my boys were more than excited to open it and start building whatever was in the box! The box we were sent to review was the Our Solar System box and it came with four projects to complete. This box came with everything we needed for a space sand kit, planetarium kit, constellation geoboard, and sundial! Kits can vary from 4-8 different STEAM projects in each box. In addition to the instructions for each project, there are also fun, educational facts included on each page. The space sand kit and sundial were both huge hits with the scientific minded boys in my house.

I love that these kits include activities for the more artsy minded children as well as the science minded. I wanted to do each activity with the boys , especially the space sand kit! I really had to step back and let them have fun, then once they went to sleep I could play with the sand!

All the projects and extras included with these kids are intentional to fulfill the STEAM ideas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). At the back of the booklet that comes with the kit, there are additional fun activities including coordinating snacks, a way to reuse the box, work/career ideas, and book suggestions to read further. I thought it was so cute, our snack idea was a moon snack!

Green Kid Crafts has been around since 2010, founded by Penny Bauder who is an environmental Scientist and mom. A goal of Green Kid Crafts boxes is not only to educate children, but also to be environmentally friendly while we are at it. For each box ordered, Green Craft Kids works with One Tree Planted and plants a tree for each online order. How neat is that?
