Pets have such an important role in a family. I always have had a dog or two or three around! We adopted our latest, Bo Jackson, from a local pet rescue in December. It has taken awhile for us to adjust to having him around since he has quite a few things that make living with him difficult! We love him though, so we have continued to work with him.

Bo Jackson-just after we adopted him!

In the book, Pickles the Dog, Pickles has quite a bit to learn after her first day on the farm. It is an adorable, quick read about how Kat learned the best way to teach Pickles how to act on the farm. Pickles learns very quickly how to fit in the best way at the farm to be the best dog.

The illustrations are very simple, but so cute! Pickles not only is adorable in the book, but looks similar to our own Bo Jackson!

The author, Kat Socks, is very passionate about animals in need and donates a portion of all sales to local animal shelters. Her book has won some great awards as well! Go out and get a copy of this book for yourself! You won’t be dissapointed!
